ABOUT ME

I started Blessed Brushstrokes in the fall of 2021 as a way to use my love of God’s word and my love for painting to bless the homes of others.

Painting has always been my outlet when I've walked through challenging seasons. Connecting God's word and art is my personal therapy, but the truths of God's word are living and active and impact my faith over and over regardless of when the painting was first made.

My husband and I move quite a bit as he is studying at Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary to become a pastor. I teach elementary school and mom full time. The artwork and creative process usually happens after bedtime, while hubby studies.

After our newborn son passed away in the fall of 2022 I took a break from painting and instead explored digital art as a way to grieve and process. Meditating on God's word while I created reminded me that because of Christ we can grieve with the HOPE of heaven and the resurrection.
